1. BUY A CALENDAR: 2010 Now Available!!!
Our 2008 and 2009 calendars were so popular that we plan to do them again every year! Calendars will be available October thru January every year. They are $14.95 each, photographed and designed by a professional photographer, printed on high quality heavy stock paper, and professionally bound. You can buy one in plenty of time to give as a holiday gift. They will be available in our office, during house calls, or by mail. Postage is $2.50 per calendar. Every month features a different bird we have rescued. For example:

2. NEED A CAGE? HAVE A SPARE TO DONATE? CHECK WITH US TO SEE IF WE HAVE A USED CAGE AVAILABLE FOR SALE.
We are happy to accept your unwanted cages (manufactured cages only, no homemade cages please) so that we can sell them, with the proceeds going toward care of our rescued birds. We often have smaller sized cages that are great to have on hand for transporting in the car. Sorry, we cannot sell your items on commission.

3. HAVE SOME SPARE CASH? UNWANTED STUFF CLUTTERING UP A CLOSET? CONSIDER A DONATION TO OUR 501(c)(3) NONPROFIT.
Check with your accountant or tax preparer to see about claiming your donation as a deduction to save you money on your taxes. We sell a variety of items on eBay, with the proceeds going to take care of our rescue birds. Be sure to call or email before bringing items over so we can research them to make sure they are worth listing for sale. We are always happy to accept your collectibles, books, beanie babies, and back issues of Bird Talk Magazine.

4. SAVE THOSE FEATHERS!
The main things we sell on eBay are feathers. We use only naturally molted feathers that have fallen off of birds and were saved from the bottom of the cage. Your bird's molted feathers of any size and color, even tiny little ones less than an inch long, help us bring in several thousand dollars a year. The best selling colors are red and yellow, while grey and white don't bring in much, and fluffy down feathers do not sell at all. However, we will take them all, even if they are a little dirty or are imperfect. Drop them off at our office, mail them, or give them to us when we see you for an appointment. We appreciate it!

5. VOLUNTEER WITH US!
We are happy to have help with a variety of tasks around here. If you are age 14 or older, you can help with playing with birds to keep them tame, cleaning cages, sweeping the floor, filing paperwork, or whatever you are capable of and interested in doing. Other chores like cleaning the gutters, painting, or running the weedeater are always available for anyone who is sitting at home bored and wanting to do something physical.
